18.04.2006 Change Initiatives organized a workshop on the scope for ICT-based Enterprises for Women on 2nd and 3rd March 2006 in Kolkata. Dr G.D. Gautam, Special Secretary, Department of IT, Government of West Bengal inaugurated this workshop. Also present at the occasion were President of Change Initiatives Mr Sibaji Roy, Vice President Dr Mukul Mukherjee & Workshop Convener Ms. Alokananda Rao. The entire session was presided by Director of Change Initiatives, Ms Jhumpa Ghosh Ray.

18.04.2006 Participants from various African countries, who gathered here, 11-12 April 2006, formed a NEPAD e-Africa Youth Programme, whose main objective is to build a cadre of young people who will raise awareness on issues of the Information Society and serve as active participants in building an inclusive Information Society in their countries and on the African continent.

We set up Community Video Units, in which 4-8 community members produce Monthly Video News Magazines to screen in their communities to accelerate social change.
