22.06.2006 Journalists, media entrepreneurs, government and civil society representatives, academics, and students met last week in UNESCO’s Montevideo Office to analyze and evaluate the situation of media, development and poverty reduction in Uruguay and the region, and to make recommendations for UNESCO’s action in this context.

22.06.2006 Eight people with disabilities have an opportunity to voice their issues using the Community Multimedia Centre (CMC) in Nepal after a recent training workshop on audio production and new technologies. 15.06.2006 The need to enhance information flow to farmers led to the inception of the Information and Communication Support for Agricultural Growth in Nigeria Project (ICS-Nigeria). The hope is that access to information will trigger an increase in farmers’ use of agricultural technologies, which in turn will increase their productive capacity.
