key component of e-governance is to provide governments with a citizen-friendly face. Naturally, G2C (government-to-citizens) is an important element of all e-governance projects.e-Seva is, perhaps, the best example and one of the earliest attempts to take the benefits of e-governance to citizens.

US topped the list, followed by Singapore, Denmark and Iceland at second third and fourth positions, respectively, in the report released.

Leading technology entrepreneur Javad Hasan has called for a technology strategy to take the benefits of technology to Kerala's villages.Mr. Hasan said presenting his views on `IT's role in Kerala's development' at a development seminar organised by the Congress party as part of its ongoing State conference. Merely producing `computer coolies' would not add to the wellbeing of the people, he said.
