17.08.2007 Nepal has developed simple and cheap technologies that make the best of local resources and don't damage the environment. The new technologies have been indigenously designed, based on traditional skills and knowledge, and are cheap and easy to use and maintain.

08.08.2007 The Indian Minister of Communication and Information Technology has announced that about one lakh broadband enabled service centres will come up in the country by March, 2008. He added that one centre will come up for every six villages with all e-governance services.

07.08.2007 The National Secretariat of Public Security, Brazil, has selected a consortium providing communication and wireless security information – including voice, data, video and images – for the Pan American Games, held in Río de Janeiro. The communications infrastructure will be used for the city once the games are over.
