Global Alliance for Youth and development (GAID) is organizing a Global Forum on Youth and ICT for Development: Youth and ICT as Agents of Change, at Geneva International Conference Center in Geneva, Switzerland from 24 to 26 September, 2007. Internet and IT law expert of Thailand condemned the government for illegally blocking of websites and the use of threats and intimidation tactics against webmasters by government officials. As per the law the Communications Technology Ministry should seek court orders for banning websites.

Pakistan's Mast FM103 radio station has been asked to stop
broadcasting BBC news bulletins which it had started on June 2007 after obtaining permission from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulation Authority (PEMRA). Reporters Without Borders has urged the Sindh High Court to defend the freedom of the radio station.

OneWorld South Asia held its Sixth Annual Regional Meeting (ARM) at the Mirabel Resort Hotel, Dhulikhel, Kathmandu, Nepal on 27 - 28 February 2007. Around 200 delegates from civil society, government, academia, media, and the corporate sector across South Asia reflected on the theme Midway to MDGs: Accelerating progress through ICTs and adopted the Kathmandu Declaration, which demands concerted efforts to accelerate progress towards the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
