The Internet under Surveillance
30.07.2004 Authoritarian governments in many countries still control the free flow of information on the internet, shows a recently published global report by Reporters Without Borders. Besides, many democratic societies in Europe and America have started exercising surveillance on internet communication for controlling terrorism.

01.07.2004 Policy makers from Indian government will deliberate on broadband and ICT development in a two-day ministerial conference from July 1 to 2 in Bangkok. The conference is being organised by the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) to establish a framework of activities for broadband deployment in the APT member countries.
