11.04.2008 An Indian IT giant NIIT and Confederation of Indian Industries will together create information communication technology infrastructure in Africa to foster software talent in the continent. As per an agreement, the former will provide high quality educational resources and the latter will facilitate internship with Indian industry.

28.12.2007 GPRS mobiles will soon deliver e-governance services to villagers in Faizabad in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. 20.11.2007 In 2008, the Kenya Information and Communication Technology Board will train some 1,500 entrepreneurs from digital villages incurring a total cost of US$ 2 million. Kenya’s digital village project was launched with the aim to set up ICT centres throughout the country.
