The first initiative has been taken by the city of Chandigarh in association with United Progressive Muslim Front to teach a basic course to the students of Manimajra Madarsa.

Its pilot project at Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad, near New Delhi is a joint venture with the state education department to introduce interactive education in the classroom. Intel driven Classmate PCs are already being shipped to other developing countries such as Brazil and Mexico.
