Policy-Makers and the Role of Communication for Development 2005-06 is a follow-up to a study conducted in 1994 for the World Bank. The purpose is to assess changes in the perception of policy- and decision-makers in multi- and bilateral aid agencies, governments, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and further addresses the changes in human and material resources committed to this sector.

APDIP (Asia-Pacific Development Information Programme) has released its second e-Note on information and communications technology (ICT) skill development in the Asia-Pacific region. The first in the series examined the gaps between demand and supply of ICT skills, this e-Note focuses on what could be done to bridge the identified gaps at national and regional levels.

A new website, www.ShareIdeas.org, an online gathering place for sharing information and ideas on how mobile communication is being used to create positive social change, has been launched. An online community and a wiki, it has been created with support from Nokia and Vodafone.

OneWorld South Asia is a media partner for eINDIA2007 ICT4D event, organised by the Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS) from July 30 - August 03 in New Delhi, India. The event is a platform that plans to showcase ICT for development.
