While presenting his report to the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, the Knowledge Commission chairman, Mr Sam Pitroda, contended that instead of adopting e-governance technologies to help government employees process the data, it should be citizen-friendly to serve their purpose of getting things done quickly in a transparent way.

OneWorld South Asia held a six-day learning exchange programme for NGOs that gave participants a practical overview of various ICT initiatives in India.
