28.04.2005 Nakon trodnevnih pregovora predstavnika 11 političkih partija i zvaničnika međunarodne zajednice, na Vlašiću je postignut dogovor o reformi policije u BiH. Prema dogovorenim odlukama, nadležnost nad policijom prelazi na državni sa entitetskih i kantonalnih nivoa, osniva se funkcija direktora policije sa dva zamjenika iz enititeta, a finansijska kontrola je jedinstvena.
