Dal 12 al 14 ottobre a Roma si tiene il 2° Festival internazionale audiovisivo della Biodiversitą, promosso dal Centro Internazionale Crocevia, insieme alla Campagna Italiana per la Sovranitą Alimentare. Il Festival si svolgerą presso l'Universitą Roma Tre (Facoltą di Economia, Aula IV - Via Ostiense, 139), in preparazione della Giornata Mondiale dell'Alimentazione (16 ottobre). In programma, la proiezione di decine di video che documentano il valore della biodiversitą e le esperienza di coloro che si impegnano per tutelarla. "Quest'anno - spiegano gli organizzatori - abbiamo posto l'accento sul ruolo fondamentale che la biodiversitą svolge non soltanto rispetto al diritto alla sovranitą alimentare, ma anche rispetto alla prevenzione di disastri naturali. Alcuni momenti del Festival saranno infatti dedicati alla riflessione sullo tsunami: attraverso testimonianze visive e relazioni di esperti, cercheremo di mostrare quanto i recenti disastri naturali abbiano a che fare con l'impatto dell'uomo sull'ambiente e, in particolare, sulla biodiversitą".
