27.05.2004 Imagine this scenario. A government is criticized for wasting hundreds of millions of taxpayers' dollars. 26.05.2004 Paul Martin has one campaign plank in this Canadian federal election: He isn't Stephen Harper. Martin says he is the peace candidate, while the Tory leader is the war candidate. 24.05.2004 If the actual campaign is anything like the warmup, this Canadian election is going to be a sorry spectacle - a contest between two parties, both dedicated for a decade to dismantling medicare, competing for votes on the pledge to save it. It will be a competition for who will get to guard the henhouse, the fox or the coyote.
