"New Brunswick citizens are experiencing trade treaty 'chill' first-hand." So say the authors of a study released just as the Lord government rejected legislative committee recommendations to adopt public auto insurance. Today's study concludes that New Brunswick should have adopted the public system - despite threats from the foreign insurance industry to sue under international trade treaties.

Nedavnom ocjenom Ustavnog suda Crne Gore kojom je utvrdjena kao neustavna odredba Zakona o penzijskom i invalidskom osiguranju kojom po automatizmu u upravni odbor Fonda PIO ulaze Ministar rada i socijalnog stranja Slavoljub Stijepovic i Ministra finansija Igor Luksic, namece se zakljucak da je i Zakon o sprecvanju konfikta interesa, obzirom da omogucava imenovanja javnih funkcionera u upravne odbore, neustavan. Ovdje se postavlja pitanje da li ce angazmani i ostalih javnih funkcionera biti predmet razmatranja Ustavnog Suda.

Le Québec aura donc résisté. Alors que les deux grands réseaux de télévision francophones prédisaient autour de 22h un gouvernement libéral — minoritaire, précisait Bernard Derome —, les Québécois ont donné 54 sièges au Bloc québécois, lui accordant 50 % des suffrages. Le Bloc rejoint ainsi les 54 sièges obtenus sous Lucien Bouchard en 1993, exploit qui n’avait pas été réédité depuis.

In yesterdayÂ’s second round of the 2004 Presidential Election, Boris Tadic, candidate of the reformist Democratic Party, was elected for the Office of the President of Serbia. Tadic won with 53.7% of the votes (1,706,888 votes), while his opponent Tomislav Nikolic, from the Serb Radical Party won 1,431,833 votes, or 45% of the votes. These were the estimated results released by the Centre for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID).

Plus de cinquante millions de citoyens américains, soit un quart du corps électoral, vont utiliser des machines électroniques pour voter lors de l'élection présidentielle de 2004. 80% de ces machines ont été achetées par les différents Etats américains à deux sociétés, Diebold et ES&S (Election Systems and Softwrare) qui sont connues pour leurs liens étroits et incestueux avec le clan républicain. 80 % de ces machines ne produiront pas de reçu papier pour les votes effectués.

U dokumentu “Godinu dana implementacije Agende ekonomskih reformi”, koji je sacinila Vlada Republike Crne Gore u martu 2004. godine pise da je gospodin Vukotic koordinator aktivnosti u oblastima: poslovno okruzenje, trgovina i ekonomske slobode, makroekonomija i statistika, dok je oblast privatizacije i postprivatizacije koordinira Savjet za privatizaciju, ciji potpredsjednik je ponovo gospodin Vukotic. U dokumentu “Agenda ekonomskih reformi” precizno su definisane aktivnosti u ovim oblastima.

The Council of Canadians is condemning Quebec Environment Minister Thomas Mulcair's proposal to explore bulk exports of water from the province. The Council says that move would "open the floodgates to water exports" - compelling the rest of Canada to follow suit under rules of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
