The Chairman of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) have given direction to the TV channels not to cover terrorist incidents which promote the objectives of the terrorists to create terror, hence asked to do it with 'time delay-filtration technology.

Hasil pemeriksaan periode Januari hingga Juli 2007 di Pokja HIV/AIDS RSUD Nabire, menyatakan sebanyak 85 orang dinyatakan positif HIV. Dari jumlah itu, 18 orang penderita di antaranya tercatat sebagai kasus baru.

Gorkhapatra Corporation, government-owned media group in Nepal, has dismissed forty-nine journalists who were working there for the past 11 years. The President of Federation of Nepalese Journalists condemned the decision which is based on the political interest of the management.

Mr. Mahabir Pun of Maygdi District of Nepal has been awarded the 2007 Ramon Magsaysay Award for Community Leadership. He is being recognized for his innovative application of wireless computer technology in Nepal, bringing progress to remote mountain areas by connecting his village to the global village.

Delhi based NGO PRIA (Participatory Research In Asia) has done a two year study on the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005 (NREGA) - a welfare scheme that aims to provide employment to all eligible rural Indian - in 24 districts of 16 Indian states and concluded that the scheme is not working well on the ground. The implementation is not encouraging and the proposed beneficiaries are unaware of the scheme.
