Përgjatë 4 ditëve, nxënës të shkollave të mesme dhe tetëvjeçare nga Tirana, por edhe Berati dhe Kuçova e shndërruan kryeqytetin në një burim frymëzimi dhe hapësirë veprimi.

15.06.2006 E' stata inaugurata oggi l'Università Popolare Filippina di Roma sorta per promuovere la cultura e mantenere vivo il sentimento d'appartenenza alla propria identità culturale intesa non solo come lingua, ma anche come cultura, storia, arte e musica della comunità filippina presente nella città. "Tutto nell'ottica di non colonizzare nessuno e di dare nuove opportunità ai filippini, troppo spesso occupati solo come colf o assistenti familiari" - afferma Francesco Florenzano presidente dell'Upter. La presenza della comunità filippina in Italia risale agli inizi degli anni '70. Attualmente in Italia sono circa 95.000 i filippini con permesso di soggiorno, mentre più di 100.000 sono senza regolare permesso. A Roma ne risiedono circa 25.000. Sono indicativamente 30.000 i filippini nati in Italia, mentre a Roma si conta che in cinque anni siano nati circa 1.000 bambini.
