IBM is toying with the idea of providing information to rural users on toll-free numbers. Its pilot project in southern India will provide information on healthcare services, small businesses and micro-finance. Once successful, it will be taken to international markets.

Uganda Telecom has started work on a fiber-optic link from the western town of Mbarara in Uganda to the Rwanda border-crossing point at Katuna - essentially giving a major boost to the long-awaited regional fibre project, RNA has learnt.

Toistaiseksi Lähetysseuran YouTube-kanavalta löytyy yhteensä 15 suomen-, ruotsin- ja englanninkielistä elokuvaa. "Haluamme tuoda esille, että internet voi olla myös uskontojen kohtaamisen ja vuoropuhelun paikka", Lähetysseuran av-tuottaja Jouko Marttinen toteaa.
