Child care advocates were calling on social development minister Ken Dryden to move ahead with the promised national child care program, this week, but urged him to involve child care workers and the unions that represent them. CUPE has launched an online action to push Dryden into action on a national child care program. Join CUPE in this campaign.

Per la Fai Federazione Acli Internazionali la firma della Costituzione Europea va nella giusta direzione ma ancora molto resta da fare, specialmente sul concretizzare democrazia e pace. I diritti dei bambini hanno trovato posto nel testo di Costituzione per Save the Children secondo cui il testo fa un chiaro riferimento alla tutela dei diritti dellinfanzia: ''Non dovranno pił essere ignorati nelle politiche europee''. Di segno contrario il giudizio dellAibi secondo cui nellUnione Europea non ci sono giuste politiche di accoglienza e protezione per i bambini.

YK-liiton uusi suvaitsevaisuuskampanja tarjoaa välineitä kulttuurien käsittelyyn lasten kanssa, kerrotaan Maailmanpyörä-lehden tuoreessa numerossa. Kampanja rakentuu etnisten nukkien, satujen ja nukketeatteriesityksen sekä ohjausmateriaalin varaan.

Nei giorni scorsi due ragazzi ed un educatore sono stati ricevuti a San Paolo (Brasile) alla "Prima Conferenza Intraparlamentare su lavoro e impiego" del Parlamento Latinoamericano. Fanno parte del "Movimento latinoamericano dei bambini e adolescenti lavoratori" (Molacnat), un'organizzazione diffusa in 12 paesi del Sudamerica. Un movimento "anomalo" perché non chiede la proibizione tout-court del lavoro minorile, ma l'accesso gratuito alla scuola e ai servizi sanitari, oltre che pari dignitą sul lavoro. La loro proposta, nata negli anni '80, sta riscuotendo l'attenzione non solo dei loro coetanei latinoamericani, ma anche di quelli asiatici e africani. Nel solo Perł, oggi il movimento rappresenta e organizza ben 12 mila tra bambini e adolescenti lavoratori.
