12.03.2007 Importanti novità sul fronte della protezione dei minori stranieri non accompagnati richiedenti asilo sono state introdotte dalla "Direttiva in materia di minori stranieri non accompagnati richiedenti asilo" emanata nei giorni scorsi dal Ministero dell'Interno e dal Ministero di Grazia e Giustizia. In particolare stabilisce che all'arrivo in frontiera, il minore, di fronte all'espressa volontà di chiedere asilo, venga subito affidato alle strutture del Sistema di protezione per richiedenti asilo e rifugiati (SPRAR) e non a una struttura qualsiasi come finora è accaduto. "L’assunzione da parte delle Istituzioni del dovere di informazione e di adeguata assistenza nella presentazione delle domande per richiedere lo status di rifugiato ai minori richiedenti asilo sono punti di forza" secondo Save the Children.
