A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and the Federal Education Directorate for a $3.4 million three-year programme to strengthen teachersÂ’ education in Pakistan.Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the programme will establish a new framework for teachersÂ’ accreditation and management in basic education.

Centar za ljudska prava djece Albanije - CRCA objavio je 2. 3. 2007. da je započeo s radom na pripremi novog izvještaja iz sjene (shadow report) o Konvenciji o pravima djeteta. Izvještaj će se pripremati u suradnji s Albanskom koalicijom za alternativne izvještaje, mrežom ključnih nevladinih organizacija u Albaniji, osnovanom 2006.

The Children's Human Rights Centre of Albania - CRCA announced on March 2 that it has started the work on the preparation of the new Convention on the Rights of the Child Shadow Report. The Report will be prepared in cooperation with the Albanian Coalition for Preparation of Alternative Reports, network of major national NGO's in Albania established in 2006.

Services like schooling, housing and nutrition have the largest claim (Rs 83,950.69 crore) on total plan allocation in IndiaÂ’s latest budget. Together with energy and transport, the social sector accounts for nearly 75% of the total allocation of Rs 319,992 crore.

Oggi, 28 febbraio, scade l'armistizio firmato nell'agosto scorso tra il governo ugandese e il movimento ribelle del LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) e il LRA non sembra intenzionato a prolungare l'accordo. Nei giorni scorsi ribelli del LRA hanno abbandonato i due centri di raccolta in Sud Sudan dove si erano radunati in base a un accordo di pace firmato nei mesi scorsi. Il governo di Kampala ha chiesto al LRA di "rinnovare l’accordo di cessazione delle ostilità per il bene degli sfollati interni", ma i segnali sono contrastanti. L'Associazione per i Popoli Minacciati (APM) accusa l'Unione Europea di "scarsissimo interesse" e di non essersi impegnata a sostegno dell'intero processo di pace. Save the Children sollecita l'intervento della comunità internazionale per una proroga dell'Accordo: oltre l'80% delle truppe del LRA è costituito da bambini di cui 1.500 tuttora nelle mani dei gruppi combattenti.
