21.12.2005 Sabato 17 dicembre si è svolto il quarto incontro nazionale in preparazione del Forum Italiano dei Movimenti per l'Acqua. All’incontro erano presenti circa 85 persone in rappresentanza di reti e comitati provenienti da Lombardia, Toscana, Lazio, Abruzzo e Campania. L’incontro si è aperto con l’illustrazione della vertenza legata all’ATO 2 della Campania, che da più di un anno vede impegnati i movimenti in una determinata lotta contro la privatizzazione dell’acqua. Successivamente, il confronto politico è avvenuto in plenaria, dove una ventina di intervenuti si sono pronunciati sul percorso sin qui seguito e sul da farsi per la realizzazione del Forum. Una prima decisone presa riguarda data e luogo definitivi del Forum Italiano dei Movimenti per l’Acqua, che si terrà il 10-11-12 marzo 2006 a Roma. Il Forum vuole essere non solo un appuntamento di tipo seminariale, bensì il momento di lancio di un programma di lotte e iniziative capaci di impattare ed attraversare l’agenda politica del Paese.

Disarmiamo la Repubblica

Mancano pochi mesi alle elezioni politiche dell'aprile 2006 e crediamo sia fondamentale richiamare l'attenzione di elettori e candidati su una politica di ripudio della guerra e costruzione della pace. L'appello promosso dalla Casa per la Pace di Milano e dal Nodo Lilliput Milano, comprende dieci proposte ai candidati che si presentano per lÂ’elezione al Parlamento Italiano.
L'invito a a tutti i gruppi, associazioni, reti del movimento pacifista, e' di diventare co-promotori dell'iniziativa inviando, entro il 15 gennaio, una mail all'indirizzo: addioallearmi@lilliputmilano.org(specificare nell'oggetto: "adesione"). I nominativi dei co-promotori compariranno sul sito che sarà creato nel mese di gennaio.

Nella mattinata del secondo giorno ci sono stati i discorsi ufficiali dei membri più autorevoli del WTO e dalle loro parole non è emersa alcuna novità. Il nostro commissario Mandelson ha ribadito che il round non vive di sola agricoltura, "l'Europa è qui a Hong Kong per fare business con tutti gli altri [paesi], se sono pronti a farlo con noi", minacciando che "non ci sarà alcun successo, né ad Hong Kong né altrove, se continueremo a focalizzarci solo su una parte del round". La retorica degli aiuti continua a imperversare ma appare sempre più evidente la sua natura. Gli USA hanno chiarito che se si concederà accesso duty free ai prodotti dei paesi meno sviluppati, sarà fatto solo a partire dalla fase di applicazione dei risultati dell'intero round, dunque nessuno si illuda che si inizi prima del 2008 e soprattutto che si tratti di "doni", si tratta di merce di scambio negoziale. Idem per le cifre di aiuto che tutti promettono in questi giorni. Attenti dunque alle illusioni pre natalizie. Se proprio dobbiamo paragonare Mandelson, Portman e soci a babbo natale, allora possiamo dire che assomigliano a quei fantocci, che in questi giorni spuntano come funghi, arrampicati sulle case degli italiani: sono brutti e più che a babbo natale assomigliano a un ladro.- di Roberto Meregalli
