Al via domani giovedì 1 aprile la mostra convegno Terra Futura che rende visibili e diffonde le buone pratiche di sostenibilità. Oltre 50 gli appuntamenti culturali nei quattro giorni d evento, tra convegni, dibattiti, work shop, e 400 i relatori. La manifestazione si sviluppa su 30.000 metriquadri; 250 espositori nell’area allestita: imprese, associazioni, istituzioni, enti locali e territoriali, realtà del non profit..., per far conoscere esperienze, progetti e proposte di consumo e di produzione equi e sostenibili.

En 2002 et en 2003, le Canada a été le seul des 53 pays membres de la Commission des droits de l'homme de l'ONU à voter contre la reconnaissance du droit humain à l'eau. Le 22 mars, quatre ONG canadiennes, dont le Conseil des Canadiens, se sont réunies sur la colline parlementaire à l'occasion de la Journée mondiale de l’eau afin de contester cette position du gouvernement canadien.

Maan ystävät, Greenpeace ja Chemical Reaction Team at EEB vaativat verkkosivuillaan, että vaaralliset kemikaalit korvataan turvallisemmilla vaihtoehdoilla, ja kehottavat ottamaan yhteyttä euroedustajiin sähköisesti.

Vietnamin ympäristönsuojelijat yllyttävät maan hallitusta kiristämään harvinaisten ja uhanalaisten eläinten suojelua, sillä muuten sukupuutto uhkaa useita lajeja. Huolimatta uhanalaisten eläinten metsästyksen tiukasta kiellosta salametsästys kiihtyy yhä. Ainoastaan heroiinin vienti on laitonta eläinkauppaa tuottoisampaa.

Možete li zamisliti mjesto u kojem se u Generalićevoj galeriji proglašava Dan žaba, u kojem se seminar o žabama i njihovoj zaštiti od masovnog stradavanja na prometnicama održava u gradskoj vijećnici, u kojem grad daje na korištenje svim građanima i posjetiteljima 50 gradskih bicikla u svrhu promocije zdravog načina života i smanjenja prometa? Iako je teško povjerovati, takvo mjesto u Hrvatskoj postoji: radi se o Koprivnici.

The Torra Bay conservancy in Namibia’s remote Damaraland region recently scooped the Equator Prize at the UN Convention on Biological Diversity in Malaysia. The conservancy is the first rural community project from Southern Africa to win the prestigious award.

Direktor regionalnog centra OSCE-a Tuzla Hugues de Courtivron podržao je projekat Nevladine organizacije "Tolerancijom protiv različitosti" (ToPeeR) iz Doboja o ekologiji i održivom razvoju u slivu rijeke Bosne. Projekat previđa niz aktivnosti iz oblasti uređenja riječnog korita kako bi se poboljšalo vodosnabdjevanje i zaštitili postojeći izvori.

WWF/Adena, Greenpeace, Ecologistes en Acció, SEU/BirdLife i Amics de la Terra demanen que la preocupació ambiental expressada pel PSOE abans de les eleccions es concreti en la creació d'una visepresidència encarregada de coordinar les polítiques de sostenibilitat distribuïdes pels diferents ministeris. També reclamen l'existència d'un Ministeri de Medi ambient amb prou pes polític i pressupostari per afrontar els compromisos assumits per aquest partit, com la derogació del Pla Hidrològic Nacional o el compliment del Protocol de Kyoto.
