WASHINGTON, Jul 3 (OneWorld) - The growth of cities will be the single largest influence on human society in the 21st century, according to a new United Nations report, which argues that urbanization can be a much more powerful force for positive change than many currently believe.

The Supreme court of India has allowed the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) to subsidise five waste-to-energy plants. But concerned environmental groups feel that the government is taking this decision of the apex court as an approval for all waste-to-energy technologies.
