Indian villager checks crop rates online
25.08.2003 Our partner Development Alternatives' "Hope Incubator Project" is one of the 15 projects that have won grants worth $600,000 under Samsung’s DigitAll Hope 2003 programme. Development Alternatives plans to start a revolving fund that would be used to provide assistance to young entrepreneurs to start 48,000 cyber cafes in India’s rural areas.

23.08.2003 Our partner Centre For Spatial Database Management & Solutions (CSDMS) has launched i4d, a new bimonthly journal available both online and in print. The journal has information and communication technologies (ICTs) at its core and aims to allow access and reference at remote locations through its printed version. CSDMS is an NGO involved in developing the use of technologies like GIS, GPS and remote sensing in rural areas.
