Work done by NIIT in India on Internet-based education paradigms may offer interesting solutions to the digital divide. In 1999, in a slum in New Delhi, residents woke up to an unusual sight. The wall between their slum and the NIIT headquarters next door had a hole in it and out of that hole was visible a TV like screen!
