African ministers to discuss WSIS action plan

15.03.2004 Communications ministers and regulators from Africa, including Nigeria, Tunisia, Senegal, Kenya, Ghana and Mauritius, will gather for a two-day international conference to be held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 25th to 26th March 2004, to discuss how to implement the WSIS Action Plan adopted last December 2003, in Geneva.

Global media governance: Reflections from the WSIS experience

02.03.2004 The World Summit on the Information Society was the first global multilateral forum dedicated to discussing governance issues and policies in relation to communication, since the so-called digital revolution took centre stage. Yet the Summit came and went almost unnoticed by the public, and much less as something of concern to them.
