The World Summit Award (WSA) recognises and celebrates the spirit of content creation and creativity using digital media globally. Launched in conjunction with the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), the Award is being given annually to the best e-content and expression of creativity that helps bridging the digital divide.
The goal of this four-week long email discussion is to raise awareness of critical issues around intellectual property rights (IPR) for Africa, to provide an overview of the existing legal processes and tools, to discuss alternatives to the current situation, and to facilitate exchange and collaboration between individuals and organisations working in this field.
