2000-luku on tähän mennessä ollut kahvin maailmanmarkkinahinnan osalta hyvinkin vaihtelevaa aikaa. 1990-luvun loppupuolella hinnat kävivät korkealla, kun taas vuonna 2001 kahvista maksettu hinta romahti pohjalukemiin. Silloin kahvinhinta putosi lähes 80%.

Today nearly 4 of 5 children in the age group 6-14 are in school. Two of 3 persons are functionally literate. Thus in the last fifty years, several milestone in this regard have been crossed and the progress achieved is by no means small. But still it falls short of meeting the goal of Education For All (EFA). The process of universalisation can be achieved by the Multi stakeholder partnership model.

Imports of flowers from Africa to
Story linkEurope have shot up significantly in the last few years. And this has drawn attention to the working conditions and environmental impact of the growing flower production for exports in several African countries. It is obvious that there is much to do before working conditions and environmental concerns can hope to meet the ethical standards European consumers expect.
