ActionAid: l'Italia mantenga gli impegni con la Fao 16.04.2007 ActionAid apprezza che l'Italia sia uno dei maggiori contributori della Fao, come riportato nel Libro Bianco che illustra il Programma di Cooperazione della Fao finanziato con i contributi volontari del governo italiano, presentato oggi a Roma. "Questo è un riconoscimento importante per la cooperazzione allo sviluppo italiana. L'Italia, però, nel 2002 si era impegnata nel versamento di 100 milioni di euro, dei quali ne mancano ancora 40 milioni. Per il 2007 lo sforzo del nostro paese si quantifica in soli 10 milioni di euro" - nota l'organizzazione. Nelle scorse settimane ActionAid aveva ricordato che - secondo i dati pubblicati dall'Ocse sulle quote che i Paesi destinano all'Aiuto pubblico allo sviluppo l'Italia si posiziona al penultimo posto nella classifica europea, seguita solo dalla Grecia. Italia: il nuovo volto della cooperazione 10.04.2007 Il disegno di legge delega sulla cooperazione allo sviluppo approvata il 5 aprile in occasione del Consiglio dei ministri è sicuramente un fatto positivo. E' la testimonianza della volontà politica (del governo) a procedere finalmente ad una cambiamento della vecchia legge 49 risalente al 1987. Una legge, quest'ultima, che ormai non funziona più e che da oltre 15 anni è oggetto di critiche e di tentativi, finora falliti, di superamento. Adesso la parola spetta al Parlamento che ha 24 mesi di tempo per varare la delega e poi spetterà al Governo emanare i decreti delegati. Se tutto va bene, ci vorranno tre anni prima che la nuova norma entri in vigore. Sempre che si riesca ad approvarla. Le resistenze del corpo diplomatico infatti sono fortissime ed è ipotizzabile che diversi senatori ad esso vicini facciano il possibile o per rallentare l'iter della legge o per farla decadere.
