25. aprila je Albanska Koalicija za obrazovanje djece sastavljena od 10 glavnih organizacija iz područja prava djece službeno pokrenula kampanju "Svako dijete treba učitelja", koja se u Albaniji organizira pod sloganom "Svako dijete treba kvalificiranog učitelja". Kampanja u Albaniji je dio Globalne kampanje za obrazovanje koja se dešava posvuda u svijetu između 24. i 30. aprila i ove je godine posvećena učiteljima.

OTTAWA – « Les deux tiers des mères ayant des enfants de moins de trois ans travaillent à l’extérieur du foyer pour faire vivre leur famille. Les trois quarts des mères ayant des enfants âgés de trois à cinq ans travaillent à l'extérieur du foyer. Plus de la moitié des enfants sont confiés à des services de garde d’une forme ou d’une autre. Devant ces faits, les gouvernements fédéral et provinciaux du Canada ont le devoir de veiller à ce que nos enfants aient accès à des services sûrs et de qualité », affirme Ken Georgetti, président du Congrès du travail du Canada.

The Albanian Coalition for Children's Education, which includes 10 major child-rights organisations in the country, opened officially in Tirana 25 April 2006 the Campaign "Every child needs a Teacher", which in Albania is organised under the motto "Every child needs a qualified teacher". The campaign in Albania is part of the Global Campaign for Education, which takes place all over the world between 24-30 April and this year it is dedicated to teachers.

With two-thirds of mothers with children under the age of three working outside the home to support their families; with three quarters of mothers with children between three and five working outside the home and with more than half of all Canadian children in some form of child care, governments across the country, federal and provincial, have a duty to make sure our children enjoy high-quality and safe child care,” says Ken Georgetti, president of the Canadian Labour Congress.

The Global Campaign for Education says that if all children have to be provided with an education, the world needs 15 million more teachers. Right now over 100 million children still are not aware of the possibilities that education offers.

In a debate I sponsored last week in the House of Lords, Estelle Morris pointed out: "The subjects we teach, what we call them, how we arrange them in the school day and even the amount of time we allocate to each discipline area has barely changed in almost a century."

Sono stati almeno 100mila i ragazzi e gli adulti scesi in piazza o in strada ieri per la dodicesima edizione di "100 strade per giocare", la campagna di Legambiente dedicata al gioco e alla riconquista degli spazi urbani. Dal Nord al Sud dell’Italia, in 100 città e 250 tra piazze e strade chiuse al traffico, i volontari di Legambiente hanno organizzato concerti, clownerie e spettacoli con artisti di strada, vertenze su piste ciclabili e spazi verdi, giochi di strada tradizionali come nascondino e ruba bandiera, tornei di campana e acchiapparello, buffet a base di prodotti tipici. La novità di quest’anno è stata l’iniziativa “Caro sindaco, ti scrivo…” con cui Legambiente ha chiesto ai bambini delle scuole elementari di tutta Italia di scrivere una lettera al loro primo cittadino per segnalare le cose che non vanno e quelle che andrebbero migliorate.

Civil NGO will screen four documentary films, under the joint title “My First Shot”, on the language and culture of arms, filmed by children and youth from Skopje and Tetovo. The screening will be held tonight (April 20, Thursday), at the Children Theatre Centre in Skopje’s Old Bazaar. The screening starts at 19:30 hours.

Le Forze dell'ordine ieri hanno smantellato una vasta rete di pedofilia nella capitale. Oltre duecento i giovani, di età compresa tra gli 8 e i 16 anni, hanno subito abusi: sono 18 le persone arrestate, 7 sono rumeni, gli altri italiani. I ragazzi venivano adescati ai semafori della capitale o nelle piazze di Roma dove giovani adolescenti si prostituiscono, ma soprattutto nel campo nomadi di Tor Fiscale sulla Via Appia. "La pedofilia non è che una delle forme più evidenti con le quali la società odierna schiavizza il mondo infantile. L'operazione di Polizia che ha decapitato una rete di sfruttamento dei minori a scopo sessuale rivela uno spaccato di realtà che include una vasta rete di connivenze criminali che vanno dal traffico dei bambini alla compravendita dei loro corpi, a volte da madri-bambine ancora incinte" - ha dichiarato Raffaele Salinari, Presidente di Terre des Hommes. Solo in Europa, i proventi legati allo sfruttamento sessuale dei minori vengono stimati ad oltre tre miliardi di euro ed il fenomeno è in crescita.
