28.04.2008 To bring children with special needs into the general education system, Delhi-based NGO Deepalaya with support from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. has set up a computer training centre at one of its schools in the capital. The idea is to make these differently-abled children self-reliant.

21.04.2008 Animal Angels Foundation, a Pune-based NGO in western India, works on the unique concept of using pets to bring about emotional stimulation among autistic children. This form of therapy has just begun to take roots and may eventually become part of mainstream healing procedures.

21.04.2008 Traditional game of snake and ladder is being used in a novel way for disaster preparedness. As part of a wider national disaster awareness effort, the Sri Lankan Disaster Management Centre and UNDP are training school children about how to face floods, land slides, lightning, etc. and lessen their adverse effects.

21.04.2008 Kehidupan korban pelanggaran HAM pun sangat memprihatinkan. Mereka pun rata-rata bekerja sebagai buruh. Saat ini masih banyak anak-anak dari korban pelanggaran HAM yang putus sekolah karena penghasilan orangtuanya sebagai buruh tidak mencukupi. Karena itu, anak-anak mereka berhak atas pendidikan yang layak, kesehatan, tempat tinggal yang layak, yang semuanya harus diberikan pemerintah secara gratis.

Sudah waktunya BP POM tidak memonopoli informasi yang berkaitan dengan proses pemberian registrasi dan proses pelaksanaan berikut hasil dari reguler inspection.

14.04.2008 Dari Sabang Sampai Merauke Rakyat Indonesia Mati Kelaparan. Mungkin begitulah lagu yang bisa kita nyanyikan sekarang. Betapa tidak, mulai dari Sabang sampai Marauke banyak anak-anak yang meninggal karena kurang gizi dan kelaparan. Ironisnya, sikap sebagian elit pemerintah/politikus menutup mata seperti menyatakan bahwa Indonesia sudah tidak masuk negara miskin lagi karena pendapatan per kapita sebesar US$ 2.000/tahun sangat menyesatkan.
