Toxic waste
04.05.2007 Environment NGOs in India are protesting the decision of the Gujarat government to burn toxic chemicals lying for years in the Union Carbide plant in neighbouring state of Bhopal. Environmentalists fear the possibility of ecological hazards during transportation and disposal of the waste.
