"Una stagione all'inferno" è il titolo del rapporto di Medici Senza Frontiere (MSF) sulle condizioni di salute, vita e lavoro degli stranieri impiegati in agricoltura nelle regioni del Sud Italia. I risultati dell’inchiesta sono allarmanti: gli stranieri si ammalano a causa delle durissime condizioni di vita e lavoro cui sono costretti. Già nel 2004 MSF aveva visitato le campagne del Sud Italia per portare assistenza sanitaria agli stranieri impiegati come stagionali e per indagare questa scomoda realtà . Nonostante le reiterate promesse da parte di autorità locali e nazionali, a distanza di tre anni l'associazione ha potuto constatare che nulla è cambiato. MSF ha lanciato un appello per un immediato intervento pubblico nella piana di Gioia Tauro.

Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Kediri gencar melakukan penyuluhan HIV AIDS secara berkala. Tidak hanya untuk kelompok berisiko tinggi, melainkan juga untuk seluruh lapisan masyarakat, mulai dari pelajar hingga ibu rumah tangga. Di Kediri tercatat 55 orang positif HIV, 70% di antaranya tertular melalui hubungan seks.

"Lebbra, una malattia dimenticata". Con questa frase l'Aifo ha promosso la 55a Giornata mondiale dei malati di lebbra che si è svolta ieri domenica 27 gennaio nella giornata istituita da Raoul Follereau e riconosciuta ufficialmente dall’Onu. Sono ancora 259mila i nuovi casi di lebbra registrati ogni anno, pari a circa 750 casi al giorno: attualmente circa 10 milioni di persone hanno la vita segnata dalla malattia, benché da essa si possa guarire. "La lebbra è oggi una malattia dimenticata come dimenticate sono le persone che ne sono colpite: ignorate da un mondo troppo indaffarato per potersi occupare di chi soffre di un male, come la lebbra, che colpisce solo chi è già vittima di povertà , emarginazione sociale e negazione dei diritti fondamentali" - afferma l'Aifo.

Ada sebuah pertanyaan, apakah bila suka berkencan dengan perempuan-perempuan cantik dan memiliki bentuk tubuh yang indah, maka kecil kemungkinan tertular HIV? Jawabannya tidak benar. Karena, sering gonta-ganti pasangan biarpun dengan wanita cantik tidak bisa diketahui dengan pemeriksaan fisik.

AZUR Development and the Reseau Sida Afrique based in Congo which includes 230 institutional and individual members in 17 African francophone countries. The project aims to set up a media campaign and system of alert on malaria and the creation of a partnership between the press and member organizations of the Africa AIDS Network in 10 countries, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Mali, Togo, Ivory Coast, Niger, Djibouti, Cameroon, and Benin.
