Kryeministri Ramush Haradinaj deklaroi se “janë duke vazhduar punët për t’i gjetur mënyrat e zbatimit të Kontratës Kolektive në përputhje me realitetin në Kosovë”, derisa kryetari i OEK-ut Ismail Kastrati tha se Kontrata Kolektive duhet të implementohet si tërsi, duke filluar nga 1 qeshori. Kryetari i BSPK-së, Bahri Shabani ndërkaq, tha se gjërat do të qartësohen deri më 20 mars dhe, sipas tij, Kontrata duhet të implementohet retroaktivisht që nga 1 janari.

Tupakkaa koskeva kansainvälinen puitesopimus astui voimaan sunnuntaina. Sen on ratifioinut 57 maata. Sopimuksella pyritään ehkäisemään tupakan aiheuttamia terveyshaittoja ja se velvoittaa valtiot muun muassa kieltämään tupakan mainonnan ja lisäämään varoitustekstit tupakkatuotteisiin. USA on allekirjoittanut sopimuksen, mutta ei ole ratifioinut sitä.

A global treaty - Framework Convention on Tobacco Control - aimed at dissuading children from smoking and helping adults kick the habit has come into force. It will give countries three years to slap strong warnings on packets and five years to ban advertising, promotion and sponsorship.

Among the five million people affected in the tsunami-devastated Asia, there are at least 150,000 women who are pregnant or who may be facing pregnancy complications and need urgent medical and nutritional support. In Januray 2005, the governing council of The Gede Foundation unanimously agreed to postpone the 'Building partnerships for research and clinical trials in Africa' Conference from May 2005 to May 2006. The governing body have agreed to hold the conference every two years.

Attenzione al profumo che regalerete a San Valentino: secondo un rapporto di Greenpeace i profumi contengono sostanze che potrebbero avere effetti indesiderati sulla salute. Secondo il rapporto i due composti potenzialmente pericolosi per l'uomo si trovano in 36 profumi di note marche. Annunciata a Bruxelles un'azione di denuncia che può essere fatta anche attraverso internet. Lo strumento politico di controllo a livello europeo è il programma Reach che sta subendo una forte forte azione di lobby da parte dell'industria chimica e del governo statunitense. Tra le richieste delle organizzazioni c’è quella di introdurre l'obbligo di sostituzione di quei composti pericolosi quando esistono alternative più sicure.

Il sindaco di Roma Weltroni ha ricordato che il problema inquinamento consiste in una scelta di priorità . E così Legambiente rilancia con forza la proposta che il Sindaco di Torino, Sergio Chiamaparino, un giorno a settimana di blocco che diventi un provvedimento strutturale e non d’urgenza.
