ItaliAfrica lancia la sfida al Governo italiano: gli Obiettivi di sviluppo del Millennio, sottoscritti da tutti i Governi nell’Assemblea Generale dell’Onu del 2000, non avranno scuse se non mantenuti, soprattutto a riguardo dell’Africa. E ActionAid International critica il messaggio che il Presidente del Consiglio ha inviato in occasione della “Giornata dell’Africa”. “Il presidente Prodi parla di un’inversione di tendenza per le risorse destinate alla cooperazione allo sviluppo, ma - spiega ActionAid – se l’ultima legge finanziaria aumenta le risorse destinate alla cooperazione internazionale portandole a circa 600milioni, questa rimane una cifra che in termini reali non equivale ai valori del 2003. La stessa legge finanziaria, inoltre, non prevede aumenti per i prossimi anni”.

The need is to make people aware of the dangers of non-sterile healthcare and focus policies on the ‘blood route’ to HIV infection.
