Bu Jero mengakui kebiasaan suaminya membeli seks sulit diredam. Namun ia menyesal karena kepasrahannya itu kini berbuah HIV yang ditulari suaminya.

"L’Italia importa l’84% dei cavalli vivi movimentati nell’UE" - afferma la LAV che segnala come "i consumatori italiani non sono correttamente informati circa l’esatta provenienza di questa carne e sono invece spesso convinti di comprare carne di cavalli locali".

Menurut perkiraan Departemen Kesehatan, hingga akhir 2007 lalu, terdapat kurang lebih 7.000 wanita positif HIV/AIDS, dan berpotensi menularkan penyakitnya kepada bayi-bayi mereka. Potensi penularan tersebut sungguh memprihatinkan dan memerlukan penanganan serius semua pihak.

06.02.2008 HIV tidak menyebar melalui gigitan nyamuk atau gigitan serangga lainnya. Bahkan bila virus masuk ke dalam tubuh nyamuk atau serangga yang menggigit atau mengisap darah, virus tersebut tidak dapat mereproduksi dirinya dalam tubuh serangga.

04.02.2008 Kondisi penyebaran HIV/AIDS di Kabupaten Badung kian mengkhawatirkan. Badung sendiri memiliki 1.201 orang yang mengidap HIV/AIDS. Dari jumlah itu, baru 363 orang yang sadar memeriksakan dirinya di puskesmas dan RS. Sebagai langkah ke depan, akan ada pemetaan lokasi yang berpotensi menyebarkan penyakit mematikan tersebut.
