31.01.2006 Grupa Ekolevizja će 31. januara organizirati godišnju skupštinu na kojoj će raspraviti svoju ulogu kao aktivne snage u zaštiti okoliša i održivom razvoju. Skupština će se odvijati u dvorani ONFURI u hotelu International u Tirani.

The handbook,The Net for Journalists, is a resource (with a printed manual and a CD) designed for both print and broadcast journalists and journalism students in developing countries around the globe.

27.01.2006 The recording of the firts radio programme in Romani language intended for broadcasting on the B&H Public Radio Service, was completed at the Media Plan Institute in Sarajevo. The Amaro Drom Project (Our Way) was prepared by ten young Roma men and women who completed the three-month training at the Institute.

25.01.2006 Evropska novinarska federacija (EFJ) uputila je početkom ovog tjedna otvoreno pismo Predsjedniku i Predsjedniku Vlade Republike Hrvatske, Predsjedniku Evorpske komisije i čelnim ljudima Hrvatske Radiotelevizije, u kojem se izražava zabrinutost događajima koji se tiču hrvatskih novinara i koji su se dogodili krajem 2005. godine.

25.01.2006 Unidentified assailants killed journalist Subramaniyam Sugirdharajan of the Tamil-language newspaper Sudaroli in the port city of Trincomalee on 24 January 2006, a day after he wrote an article about abuses committed by Tamil political organisations. International organisations Free Media Movement (FMM), Reporters Without Borders (Reporters sans frontières, RSF) and the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) have reported on the incident.

Understanding full well that she could not rewrite history in the absence of well-documented historical sources or the resources for historical research, she decided to write the 'history' that was available to her -in the form of journalism.
