29.09.2007 India’s first Local Area Portal (LAP) on a parliamentary constituency has been launched by Digital Empowerment Foundation. The idea is to make all data – social, cultural, historical – available to its citizens, including announcements from the local MPs and MLAs. The LAP project plans to represent every electorate cluster in the country.

22.09.2007 Libera, l’associazione fondata da don Luigi Ciotti per la lotta contro la criminalità organizzata ha presentato nei giorni scorsi l'Osservatorio nazionale sull'informazione per la legalità e contro le mafie della Fondazione Libera Informazione: "un network per costruire un punto di collegamento e di scambio per dare visibilità alle realtà individuali e di gruppo impegnate sul terreno dell’informazione per la legalità" - affermano i promotori. Oltre a promuovere ricerche e studi, l'Osservatorio ha dato vita ad un sito web e a Libera radio, una web-radio presente sulle frequenze in FM di un network di radio locali. E promuoverà iniziative di formazione e qualificazione professionale rivolte agli studenti delle scuole e dei master di giornalismo in collaborazione con le università e le organizzazioni della stampa.
