The Central African Republic has got a grant from Japan for rehabilitating its radio and TV stations. The restoration will be done over a period of time: in the first phase the station buildings will be repaired and the second phase will see the installation of new equipment.

The national HIV/AIDS documentation, education and communication centre in Bangui, capital of the Central African Republic, has received computer and audiovisual equipment worth US $34,000 from UNAIDS. The centre will use the equipment to intensify its HIV/AIDS awareness drive.
