Paralelno so akcijata, NVO Parlamentot izvrsi i anketa, so koja se sondirase poddrskata na gragjanite na akcijata.

Firenze Tecnologia sostiene la "Free Software Foundation Europe" (FSFE) per creare un ponte di collegamento dal globale al locale e attivare in Toscana nuove esperienze di trasferimento dal software proprietario al software libero. L'obiettivo, infatti, è duplice: da un lato promuovere quest'ultimo attraverso le "migrazioni trasversali", incrementando cioè il passaggio da software proprietario a libero nella Pubblica Amministrazione e nelle PMI: dall'altro coordinare progetti europei.

Il Consiglio dei ministri dell'Unione Europea ha ribaltato il rifiuto del Parlamento europeo ai brevetti software in Europa. Nella riunione del 17 e 18 maggio scorso, il Consiglio europeo dei ministri sulle Competitività, a Bruxelles, ha rigettato gli emendamenti che il Parlamento europeo aveva apportato all'originale direttiva. Questa avrebbe introdotto in Europa una legislazione sui brevetti software simile a quella in vigore negli Stati Uniti e in Giappone, sulla quale la Federal Trade Commission Statunitense ha già espresso critiche e riserve.

Though many fonts are available for the Armenian language, these are not standardised enough for a reliable information exchange. UNESCO and the Matenadaran Institute in Yerevan of Armenia have jointly launched a project to develop a unicode compliant font of the Armenian language which dates back to 405 AD.
