The Spanish government announced in a statement on Monday that it will donate 935 million euros (about 1.2 billion U.S. dollars) for the United Nations Millennium Development Goals in 2006, 78 percent higher more than that in 2004.

Beyond the School is a project currently being introduced to UK schools by the Centre for Modern Education. It is a heritage education project that uses digital technology to contrast old and new images of the local area. Students can use it to explore how their local environment has changed over a period of time and publish the results in both hard copy and electronic format.

UNDP will assist the Association of Kosovo Municipalities (AKM) to become member of the regional organization LOGINCEE, through funding a project which was signed on Frida y, 16 June between the UNDP Resident Representative, Frode Mauring and the President of Asociation of Kosovo Municiaplities, Ismet Beqiri.

48-year old Victor Codreanu once lost sleep thinking about how he would manage after retirement. But now his concerns have nearly vanished. "Even though retirement is still is a long way away, I do not worry because I know exactly what my pension will be, if I keep my current job and salary level," says Victor, who works in a factory in Ialoveni town.

U ponedjeljak je slubeno objavljeno kako je T-Hrvatski telekom, kompanija nastala transformacijom i privatizacijom nacionalne telekomunikacijske kompanije i donedavni potpuni monopolist u fiksnoj telefoniji akvizicijom vrijednom 13,7 milijuna Eura postala 100 postotni vlasnik dionica IskonInterneta, jednog od uspjenijih ISP-ova u Hrvatskoj. Time je T-HT uklonio najjačeg konkurenta na tritu internetskih usluga i prema podacima iznesenim u dnevniku Večernji list, zauzeo 83 posto tog trita.
