Measuring information society: but how?

The Partnership on Measuring ICT for Development, a network of several UN agencies and OECD, is holding the Thematic Meeting on Measuring the Information Society during 7 to 9 February, 2005.

Representatives of the national statistical institutions from the nation states will be engaged in this two-day meeting to set core ICT indicators to be collected by the countries for reporting to international database on ICT indicators.

The practical suggestions emerging from the meeting, shall provide a framework to the WSIS process on the monitoring and evaluation of implementation processes of the Geneva Plan of Action.
