Online government scores high in EU

The fifth round of annual survey of online government services is showing remarkable progress of e-governance in European Union – over 90% of public service providers now have an on-line presenc, while 40% of basic public services are fully interactive.

The survey has analysed 14,000 web sites in the 25 EU Member States and Norway, Iceland and Switzerland. Sweden is the most advanced country in providing online services to its citizens, while Austria is ranked as the second, the survey shows.
