Mobile phone subscribers in Dhaka recently organised a protest against the mobile phone companies. The protest rally organised by the Citizen Rights Movement demanded to slash the call rates.
According to the protestors, using mobile phone in Bangladesh is much more expensive than any other neighbouring countries. Mobile operators, however, said that they are trying to reduce the call charges.
