Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) has set up the visions sud est fund to provide financial support for the production and promotion of films from Asia, Africa and Latin America.
In the first year, the fund will promote around eight films. Films produced in the South will then be showcased in international film festivals and cinemas. Promotion of films in European countries will help the Southern films getting the desired international attention.
