ADB to support Afghanistan for building cellular phone network

Manila-based Asian Development Bank has signed today a pact to lend Afghanistan a loan of US$ 35 million for expansion and upgradation of the country's cellular phone services network.
Using variety of technologies, the project will extend the telecommunication coverage of Roshan, a private company that provides cellular telephone, public call office, international gateway, and Internet services in Afghanistan. More: ADB. |
