Indian state Himachal Pradesh signs up for computerisation of administration

Himachal Pradesh has recently submitted an action plan worth Rs. 720 million to the central government for initating a state-wide e-governance project.

As part of the plan, the Himachal State Wide Area Network (HIMSWAN) will connect the state secretariat in Shimla to all state government departments at the district, sub-division and sub-district levels.
