Government of Canada's Task Force on Spam has submitted its final report 'Stopping Spam: Creating a Stronger, Safer Internet' today to David L. Emerson, Minister of Industry.
A new, targeted legislation, as well as more rigorous enforcement, is recommended in this report for strengthening the legal and regulatory weapons that Canada could use in the global battle against spam.
Also, the need for creatiing a focal point within government for coordinating the actions taken to address the spam issue and other related problems like spyware has been reflected in this report.
