Indu Bala Singh, a lecturer in English at a school in Chandigarh, has captured the story of 'Preetnagar', a township in Punjab in her film 'Remembering Preetnagar.'
The story of Preetnagar, established by the publisher of Preetladi magazine, late Sardar Gurbaksh Singh, near Amritsar in 1938 is of a lost dream. It had been conceptualised to be the Shantiniketan of Punjab and it did become so, till Partition changed the landscape, geographical as well as otherwise, in 1947.
