The Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), the nodal agency to coordinate the development of Indian languages, is digitising the Dogra Corpora (collection of literary works), making it accessible through the internet.
The Dogri is one of the modern language spoken in the Jammu region of the Jammu & Kashmir State. The language has been included in the 8 th Schedule of Indian Constiution only last year.
Initially, the pilot aims to compile and digitise over 100 works of prose and poetry. The collection will also include an anthology of Dogri short stories, selected mainly from works published in the past 50 years.
